Account: email, callsign (public on leaderboards). Passwords are securely hashed and never stored in plain text.

Session: authentication cookies, IP address and browser user agent for security.

Gameplay: scores submitted to the global leaderboard, pilot achievements, cosmetic unlocks stored locally and on your account when signed in.

Device: game settings in localStorage (audio, graphics, controls).

Registration anti-abuse: Cloudflare Turnstile when enabled.

Optional analytics: Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights only if you consent.

Providing the game and your pilot account — contract (GDPR Art. 6(1)(b)).

Security, fraud prevention, rate limits — legitimate interest (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Public leaderboard display is part of the game service and based on our legitimate interest in operating competitive gameplay features (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Analytics — consent (Art. 6(1)(a)); you can withdraw in Settings.

Transactional email (verification, password reset) — contract.

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect account data.

We use: Neon (database), Vercel (hosting, optional analytics), Resend (email), Cloudflare (Turnstile). Some providers may process data in the United States under appropriate safeguards (SCCs / DPA).

Account data while your account is active. Consent logs up to 3 years. Server logs per Vercel retention.

Deletion requests are typically processed within 30 days unless retention is legally required. After account deletion, leaderboard entries may remain under your callsign/initials without account linkage.

You may request deletion via Settings or privacy@playneondrift.me.

Access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.

You may request an export of your account data from Settings or the Privacy Center.

Contact privacy@playneondrift.me. You may lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority (e.g. Finland: Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman).

The game is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their data.
